VAIO likes the look of that smartphone market, and has decided it's going to go up against its former parent company's Sony Xperia series with its own creation -- one that looks very familiar to our smartphone-seasoned eyes. It's called the VAIO Phone, and it's launching in Japan in collaboration with one of the smaller phone networks, b-mobile, on today at 4.00 PM.
Japan Communications will be turning VAIO into a smartphone brand with the launch of the first smartphone into the market, via b mobile and the first model number will be ‘VA-10J'.
The smartphone hold Android Lollipop as the operating system and will run on a 32 bit with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. A display with an HD resolution of 720x1280 pixels, a 5MP front camera, a 13MP camera, 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage are the other features highlighted.
